We offer select used sidesaddles for sale, and we'll take consignments on used Steeles and Elans.   All consignment saddles must be in good repair and ready to ride.

Please note that fittings available will be described with the saddle.   In most cases we can supply missing fittings at extra cost.     Girth not included, but we carry girths on our Accessories Page.

Please see our measuring page for information on fitting yourself and horse for a sidesaddle.     Many antique sidesaddles run small and narrow for modern riders and horses.   Please feel free to contact us with questions.

 Wide/Arabian Low withers

A gently used 20" Steele western in chestnut leather with tan seat and border tooling.   Purse on off side.   The original leather tie straps were replaced with nylon.     This saddle has adjustable rigging.    A nice find and a WONDERFUL price!     Add your own silver to jazz it up for show use.

Used Steele English Pleasure.  22" seat, complete with the brass breakaway stirrup.   This is a nice saddle in good condition.  Adjustable Steele balance girth included.   $1500 plus shipping 

Wide Shoulder/High Withers (Arabian/TB/ASB)

A well loved 23" brown Elan on desirable TB Wide Tree.   Stirrup leather is not original, and the balance billet has been shortened slightly but is still fully serviceable.    Suede seat is newly cleaned.   $650 plus shipping.   Price is firm per seller.

22" Elan.      Tree is TB Wide.    This saddle is well suited to a wide Thoroughbred or similar breed with high withers and broad shoulders.     Girth included.    Also included are the desirable breakaway stirrup and a Steele adjustable balance strap.     Seat has oil stain, which will eventually fade.

A saddle for a tall person and a big horse!   This 23" Elan is on a TB Wide tree, but some of the padding was removed over the withers area to accomodate wide withers.     Seat has been redyed.   Fittings included.

 Multi-Breed (narrow withers)

A small Asian-made western sidesaddle, complete with leaping horn.   No purse.   17" seat will fit petite rider.     Western bars are comparable to those on antique western sidesaddles.      Comes with english stirrup.     $450

 22" Elan on medium tree.   Fittings included.   This is a newer model than the  23" TBW to the left,  above, and it's in very good condition.      $795

 This Asian-made sidesaddle is not an Elan, although there is some resemblence.    21" suede seat, horns for rider with smallish thigh.   The overgirth billet and tab have been removed from this saddle.   It comes with stirrup leather and a white  balance strap.    The saddle has not had a lot of use.

Thoroughbred Narrow

Nice 1880s English sidesaddle - completely redone by Smith Worthington! Beautiful pigskin leather, ready to ride. A crupper strap is included with this saddle. Great for historical reenactments.

Tree is for narrower type of horse.
